Joey Gorrell

Joselyn Gorrell with ‘Joey’.

We rescued our cattle dog X Joey when he was about 3 months old. We did notice he sat funny on his back legs and walked with a sway, but we put this down to his mix breed (not knowing what he is crossed with). When Joey was about 6 months old we noticed he would whimper when rolling over asleep, or going from a drop to stand position, and he would only be able to withstand walks for about 10 mins. All of this made him very sad and depressed and he would just sleep all day because he couldn’t move as he should.

After 3 specialist visits for our options, we were referred to Lindy who has changed Joey’s and our life. During the 3 months we have been doing physio we have seen Joey go from sad, lazy and sore, to a different happy dog. Joey no longer cries when laying down asleep or standing up, and although we still take it slow Joey can walk for 40 minutes and still have energy afterwards. He now wants to chase the tennis ball instead of laying down and watching it pass him, and will follow the other dogs around the yard playing and chasing.

Everyone who has been around Joey for the before and after is astounded by the amount of movement and strength he has built up, and he is just so happy we are seeing this brand new personality we didn’t know existed until now.

Thanks so much Lindy
