The Hip Health Project

Hip Health For Dogs with New Life Vet

Hip dysplasia is sadly a common disease, affecting many breeds of dogs. But there is something that you can do to help.

The Hip Health Project is a research project which aims to look at the benefit of physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques on the outcomes of dogs with hip dysplasia.

Following years of successful non surgical treatments of dogs, we are looking to collect as much information as possible and help your pet in the process.

The Hip Health Project is a series of consultations or classes that helps build strength and fitness to help your dog live its best life. We can help;

  • Puppies from breeds prone to hip dysplasia – Prehab
  • Puppies and young dogs with a hip dysplasia diagnosis
  • Older dogs suffering from hip arthritis

All of this made

Daisy Dillon

Lindy asked if we would consent to an Xray of Clancy’s hips whilst he was under anaesthetic to determine just how bad the situation was. We were devastated. However, in hindsight we had noticed that Clancy would often stop on short walks, he would simply lay down as if to say…”that is enough
